SPENCER KELLY, P.Eng.

Vice President

Hi, I’m Spencer, I’m the Vice President at Enviro-Stewards. I support the technical team and work with manufacturers across North America to help improve their operations and decarbonize their facilities.

I first heard about Enviro-Stewards when I was studying at the University of Waterloo (Mech Eng 2014) and was captivated by its mission to help prevent root causes of waste in manufacturing while also enabling sustainable safe water in East Africa. It was inspiring to witness an organisation set up for the sole purpose of accomplishing something good in the world. I came in for an interview in August 2014, began as an intern in September and the rest is history. In 2019, I took a 1-year leave of absence to bicycle across South America and volunteer in Peru. During this trip I met my wife, and we now live together in Kitchener, ON. We’re constantly trying to discover new roads to ride and lakes to paddle.

BRUCE TAYLOR, P.Eng., FCAE

Founder

Bruce Taylor is the founder of Enviro-Stewards and has a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Waterloo. After working for other consulting firms, he founded Enviro-Stewards in 2000 to focus on preventing root causes of resource usage (rather than building expensive ways to destroy resources produced through manufacturing).

Bruce has three decades of experience in the fields of water and energy conservation, pollution prevention, sustainable development, and treatment process design. He has won the highest awards in the Pollution Prevention field in both Canada and the United States, and was recently selected as the top environmental consultant in Canada by Clean50.

Bruce founded The Safe Water Project to empower communities to provide safe water sustainably. Bruce is motivated by the responsibility to be good stewards of the resources we have been entrusted with and to build shared, durable prosperity for the next generation.
