Enviro-Stewards has been working with North York General Hospital’s (NYGH’s) Green Team Initiative since 2002. As illustrated in the chart below, Enviro-Stewards and NYGH have succeeded in substantially reducing each leg of NYGH’s environmental footprint.
This work was recognized by the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment when NYGH was awarded a Pollution Prevention award (the highest award in Canada) as well as the Ontario Hospital Association’s (OHA’s) and Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care’s Pollution Prevention Award.
